12% Merlot, 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot
Waar Saint-Pierre meestal robuuster en meer overweldigend is dan de "zusterwijn" Château Gloria" vond ik het dit jaar wat anders: een verfijnde Saint-Pierre in typische St Julien stijl. Wat vroeger drinkbaar misschien, maar met een niet te onderschatten bewaarpotentieel.

The 2024 Saint-Pierre (Saint-Julien) shows more refinement and complexity on the nose compared to its "sibling," Gloria, this year. Blackberry, crushed stone and light pressed violet aromas unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiseled tannins, cohesive and poised, with a very appealing and sustained finish. This is a great success in the context of the vintage and could well present up to 20 years of drinking pleasure.
