7% Merlot, 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot
De tweede wijn van Giscours; met alle respect maar dit is écht een tweede wijn, niet te vergelijken met de "Medoc de Giscours" die je wel een in de supermarkt vindt. Stevig donker fruit en veel sneller drinkbaar dan de Giscours zelf. De perfecte inleiding tot de Grand Vin dit jaar, met een superhoog aandeel van Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2025 La Sirène de Giscours is a very serious second wine, if that term can even be used here. Cabernet Sauvignon is the highest ever here, and that results in an especially structured, assertive Sirène that is packed with fruit and tannin. Dark-toned fruit, chocolate, new leather, licorice and grilled herbs are all dialed up. I suppose there is a bit of edginess in the contours, but that is a relatively small critique for a wine that delivers. Don't miss it.
